So the shooting last week was a mistake. Now that raises a different matter all together. Is there any leadership in this chaos? Here we have a nervous public, being protected by a nervous police force. I now see why the public has been against arming the police in this country. A nervous armed policeman, now that is a dangerous proposition. The fact that we were told the shot man was a young Pakistani looking man. Now I hope its not me, but really there is a difference in appearance between a South American and a Pakistani. We are living in dangerous times, with the police having insufficient information about suspects, shooting people in broad day light. There is going to be the usual spin, meaning that it was the shot Brazilian’s fault. Why did he run? Or well he was an illegal immigrant. Now for this guy to be shot 5 times in the head…. Now that sounds a bit familiar. Roll forward 50 years, an episode of time team. A body is excavated and the skull bears 5 holes, verdict, looks like the dead man was executed by having 5 shots to the head. A form of military execution? Yes… Wrong that was policeman shooting dead an innocent man in 2005.
I rest my case.
Back to the broad view of things, Britain had been blessed with pragmatic politicians, unlike the Americans where one had to take the offensive and reduce the world in two halves, light and darkness, good guys and bad guys, us against them. That is the kind of politics creeping into Britain. Where its us against them… the question you may ask is who is them? I hope we can keep our heads, and remain objective. For the suicidals, I still think they should take their fight to the frontline, and not the streets of London or the underground.
On a lighter note, I had a quiet weekend, watched all the sports I could, the cricket was the same old story, England collapsing. Now there is something I want to ask, when The ausies pitch their tents, are they playing the UK or England? As far as I know Geraint Jones is a Papua Guinea born Ausie raised Welsh boy, now is he English Capped or British capped? All the same, England collapsed. The grand prix was a bummer, Ferrari was off the pace, the Dr won at the British motoGP, and Lance Armstrong, does he take drugs?
No sex, well sort of, I managed to get head, which was satisfying but according to Bill Clinton does not constitute sex.
Last but not least, a thank you to the responses I got for the photo I posted last week. I may run them abit longer, and hope I can get some more responses.
I am not gay, but I admire his body.
My hero of the week has got to be all the innocent Londoners who are going to be shot by nervous trigger happy policemen.
